Questions
- How are renewals announced, and how do I cancel?
- Annual plans get reminders 30 and 7 days before renewal; monthly plans 3 days before. Every reminder has a one-click cancel link, and "Manage / cancel" is in My account. After cancelling you keep access until the end of the period.
- Why does a single book cost the same as a month?
- A single book (US$9.90) answers one question, with 3 follow-ups. Mingpath Member monthly is also US$9.90: 2 questions that month, plus the daily card and your life reading — the price of one book, for the whole month. If you only want this one question, the single book is enough; for the long run, yearly costs less (founding price US$69/yr, about US$5.75 a month).
- What is the founding price?
- Only yearly plans have a founding price; monthly plans do not. The first 50 yearly members (both plans together) get the founding price, locked for life: as long as the membership continues, every renewal stays at that price. Switch the price table to “Yearly” to see the seats left in real time; after that, yearly plans are at list price.
- Can I get a refund?
- No. Books are digital content delivered as soon as they are generated, and they are non-refundable; by clicking the buy or subscribe button you agree to the Terms of Service and the Refund Policy. You can cancel a membership any time in one click and keep access to the end of the period, with no further charges. Refunds happen only where mandatory law requires them, or if a technical failure on our side means a book was never delivered. See “Refunds and cancelling”.
- How do charts and quotas work in each plan?
- Mingpath Member keeps 2 charts, with a life reading for each; 2 questions (question books) and 30 follow-ups a month, synastry once a year (more as an add-on, US$29 each), and a year book for your main chart, written automatically before each Lichun (Start of Spring). Companion keeps 5 charts, with 10 questions, 100 follow-ups and 3 synastries a month, a year book for every chart, the monthly timing update and priority writing. Question books and life readings can be written for any chart you have saved; quotas count per calendar month (the member plan's synastry per calendar year) and do not roll over.
- How do follow-ups work?
- On the book page every section has “Ask about this section” beside it: ask one question about that section and the answer appears right under it, in three short parts — in the chart, what it means, what to do. Questions not about one section go in “What else would you like to ask?” at the end. Everything you asked is listed under “What you asked” in My account. No medical, legal, financial or specific-event predictions.
- Can I buy without my birth time?
- Yes. The chart uses three pillars (year, month, day); good times are still computed, and the preview and the book say so: good times are estimated from three pillars, so less precise. If you find your birth time later, edit your birth details in My account.
- I entered my birth details wrong.
- Use “Edit birth details” in My account. Before any book exists, edit freely; once books exist, one edit rewrites each book once with the new details.
- How can I pay?
- Card (Visa, Mastercard and others), Apple Pay, Google Pay — as shown on the checkout page. Payments are handled by our merchant of record, Waffo Pancake (Dodo Payments as a backup); we never see card numbers.
- Why "not prediction"?
- The chart and calendar are deterministic calculations; the reading is traditional rules put into words. It shows which years deserve attention, for reflection and setting direction. Outcomes depend on you and your circumstances; nobody can guarantee them.
- What language are books written in?
- Question books are written in the language of the pages you use: English, Simplified or Traditional Chinese (English books keep the Chinese terms, each with a short gloss). The life reading is in Chinese for now. Pages and follow-ups support all three.
- What do I get for inviting a friend?
- Your invite link is in My account. When a friend who came through it pays for the first time and 7 days have passed, you each get a free question book (with 3 follow-ups). Each friend counts once.
